- Are butterflies harmed or hunted? NO. Our butterflies have naturally passed away after their 2-3 week lifespan, then are collected at the aviaries we source from. Money goes back into reforestation.
- How do you source the bird feathers? Some birds naturally molt, like peacocks and quails, and we have made connections with the bird owners who collect the molted feathers. Others, such as turkey feathers, are the by-product of other industries.
- Beetles? Really? What? Yes, really! Not your typical American beetle, the aptly named Jewel Beetle has sparkly emerald wings. We source our wings from a protein farm in Thailand, where they would otherwise go to waste.
